Last Week Before School

It is the end of summer. Now it is all homework and books. As much as I love school it is hard to say goodbye to summer. I thought we should have tons of fun doing summery things before school started. After talking with my friends we decided to:

1) Go to the Zoo

Riding in the boat... When did this become more fun than the animals? Maybe when it is the 5th or 6th time at the zoo in one summer??

Jessica on the elephant. The kids love it. Afterwards we went and saw the elepahant show. Kyle kept asking when the elephants were going to poop!

At the end of a long day. Jayme had not been the best this trip. No more sleepovers the night before we go somewhere. He was tired.









2)The Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point (with half the Valley)
Waiting in the HUGE line. But, the kids seemed to entertain themselves.

Kyle loved it and spent hours looking at dinosaur books when we got home.

3)Water party with friends
We also had a water party with all our friends. But, I was a bad mommy and was having too much fun playing to remember to take pictures!!

4)The Demolition Derby
We had so much fun!! I went thinking that the kids, mostly Kyle, would love it and I would just be along for the ride but, BOY was I wrong! It was exciting!

We could feel the dirt flying past us and huge clumps would hit us in the face!

There were only a few fires and the firemen put them out quickly!

At this point the kids were very tired! It was almost 11:00 but, I didn't want to leave!

This was the best crash of the night. Kyle reinacts it all the time with his Hot Wheels! It was actually during the Powder Puff round. A very brave lady T-boned another car twice in a row. The second time you could see the driver of the crashed car brace for the impact! The car flipped over and then the other car ended up on top of the flipped car!! The roof totally collapsed but, the driver was able to walk away!! Aren't we glad we stayed?!?!?
