Pre Halloween Fun!!!

So, I really need to catch up on my blog! This is a post that I started in Oct.







It is no secret that I love Halloween!! Dan thinks that I go over board on all the cute halloween stuff but.... I don't!! We have been having lots of fun doing Halloween stuff the last couple of days..

CARVING PUMPKINS!!

I really love to carve pumpkins and have fond memories of carving them as a child. I don't even mind scrapping out the goop! I think Jayme and Kyle loved it but, Jessica was just an obsever. She didn't want to touch any of it!





Party Time!

We went to the first of several parties on Monday. Grandma Bonnie isn't going to be here on Halloween so, she invited us all over for some Halloween fun.

I have to write this down before I forget...

Jessica is coloring a picture of a Scarecrow and asks me,"What color should I color the hand, Mom?" I say, "I don't know." and look at the colors she has and say, "Purple?" Jessica says, "No, Mom. I need a skinny crayon." What does that mean a skinny crayon. "Mom go find me a skinny crayon." OOOKKKKAAAYYY. I am looking for a "skinny crayon"........ "What color is skinny?" Jessica says, "Like peach the color of your SKIN" AAAHHHH!! Mom, is the silly one not, Jessica!!

Happy 5th Birthday, Jessica!!

This is a little late but, I wanted to get in all the festivities!! I can't believe that my little girl is 5!! She is getting so grown up. Jessica loves to play with her friends. She is kind to everyone so, she has tons of friends!! When she grows up she says that she wants to be a "momma with a family." She will be a great one. She loves to take care of her brothers, babies, stuffed animals and even Dan and I. She is very sensitive and caring. Jessica loves everything girlie-- Barbies, dolls, princesses and dressing up. We had such a fun day!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESSICA!!

I had fun making this cake and it was really easy to decorate!!

What a nice brother!!

When I lit the match Aunt Beth gasped so, Jessica got scared. Even though we had been practicing she wanted nothing to do with the cake. I blew out the candles. :(

Later in the week we went to one of the kids favorite places, Brick Oven. Pizza, balloons and ice cream. What more could a kid ask for??

Dan's Project

I love the way that this turned out. When we built our house there were some things that we cut back on so that we could get everything that we needed. We were able to get a get deal on a mantle right after we moved in but, haven't done anything else to it in TWO years!! So, we finally got around to finishing it!
